What your evaluation includes

Your story

We look at your symptoms, history, stressors, and what has or has not helped before.

Validated screening

Standardized measures help us understand how severe your symptoms are and track improvement over time.

Screening for bipolar disorder

Before starting an antidepressant, we screen for bipolar disorder, because the right treatment depends on getting this distinction right.

Physical contributors

When indicated, we review labs such as thyroid function, vitamin D, B12, and iron, which can contribute to low mood and fatigue.

Treatment options

Treatment is built around you and may include antidepressant medication, coordination with a therapist, and targeted attention to sleep, movement, nutrition, and other factors that affect mood. If you have tried medications before without success, we review what happened and adjust the approach rather than repeating it.
