Does this sound familiar?

  • You start strong on projects, then lose momentum halfway through.
  • Deadlines, emails, and bills slip even when you care about them.
  • You reread the same paragraph several times before it sticks.
  • Meetings and conversations drift while your mind jumps elsewhere.
  • You rely on last-minute pressure, caffeine, or sheer effort to get things done.
  • People have described you as restless, scattered, or a procrastinator since childhood.

What your ADHD evaluation includes

A detailed history

We look at your symptoms now and in childhood, since an ADHD diagnosis requires that symptoms began early and show up in more than one area of life.

Validated rating scales

Standardized questionnaires give us an objective picture of attention, organization, and impulsivity to track over time.

Ruling out look-alikes

Poor sleep, anxiety, depression, thyroid problems, substance use, and burnout can all mimic ADHD. We screen for these so the diagnosis is accurate.

A clear answer and plan

You leave knowing whether ADHD explains what you are experiencing and what the next steps are.

Treatment options

If ADHD is confirmed, treatment is matched to your health history, goals, and preferences. Options can include stimulant and non-stimulant medications, practical strategies for structure and time management, and attention to sleep, exercise, and other habits that affect focus. Medication is never automatic. We start with the safest effective option and adjust based on how you respond.

Stimulant medications are controlled substances. Any prescription follows federal DEA rules and New York State requirements, which are changing, so some care plans may involve additional steps. We will always explain what applies to you.
